Message from Casey/Mensaje de Casey
Here at Alberta Rider we are very thankful for the parents, grandparents, family and community members who volunteer their time with us. Volunteers are so important to our school community. Whether you have been helping with your classroom teacher, volunteering for an event like the fun run or a class party, thank you! We know your time is valuable, but you are making a difference here at ARE.
In recent weeks we have had an increase in the number of questions about visitors and volunteers in our schools including whether or not we are allowing adults to eat with students in the lunchroom.
After reviewing district policies and guidance for volunteers and visitors along with gathering feedback I am pleased to clarify that yes, with a current volunteer badge, eating lunch with a student and volunteering in our lunchroom is allowed.
Any adult wanting to eat lunch in the lunchroom must have a current TTSD Volunteer badge (see below for the difference between volunteers and visitors).
If you bring food, it can only be shared with your student (not with other students at the table).
Please remember that students only have 15 minutes to eat - help them focus
We ask that to the extent possible, all lunchroom visits be pre-arranged with our office
If you are interested in volunteering in the lunchroom, please contact Ms. Valencia O’Connor about volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers go through an application and background check process that allow them to safely be in our building and interact with students. We ask that volunteers pre-arrange their visits to the extent possible, sign in and out through our office and wear a volunteer badge that is visible at all times when in the building.
Visitors do not have to go through a background check. Visitors are allowed in the building when pre-arranged and are only expected to observe or interact with their student. Visitors are also required to be under direct supervision of a staff member. Because of these restrictions, visitors must be pre-arranged and are only allowed under limited circumstances.
Interested in becoming a volunteer?
TTSD requires all volunteers to fill out a Volunteer application which includes a background check and completion of a confidentiality and volunteer expectations statement. This can be found by logging into www.helpcounter.net/ttsd.
Per Oregon State mandate (OAR 333-019-1030), all volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 or submit an exception during the volunteer registration process.. Vaccination or approved exception documentation can be submitted using the following link- TTSD Volunteer Vaccination Documentation. All non-vaccinated volunteers must have an approved exception on file with the district and are required to wear a mask or submit a weekly negative COVID-19 test.

Bus Snow Routes/ Rutas De Nieve

No Place For Hate Pledge for Parents/ No hay lugar para el odio compromiso para los padres
View the No Place for Hate Pledge slides
