GA Milestones Testing

As you know, GA Milestone testing will be taking place. There will be small group testing throughout the building including Ms. White's classroom, both sides of the media center, the speech room and the ILP room. It is crucial that your scholars move through the hallway to the restroom and to lunch on a level zero- no exceptions. Due to testing, everyone will eat lunch in their classrooms for the entire week. Connections are also canceled all week. Someone will be coming to your classrooms to give you a 30 minute break. The schedule is forthcoming.

NWEA Testing

Almost all scholars K-2 have completed their NWEA testing. Please remember to email me 2 items:

1- A list of scholars who need to complete testing

2- Complete the rewards chart (who earned chips, drink and ice cream).

Retakes and make-up testing will tentatively take place on April 27th and 28th. I will email you regarding the criteria for retakes. If you have not done so already, visit the NHA curriculum page to view your class' MAP progress report.

Friendly Reminders......

  • Actively monitor scholars at all times. This includes in the classroom, in the hallway, transitions to and from connections, lunch, recess and dismissal.

  • Stand at your door from 7:50 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. daily to greet your scholars. Remember to make eye contact with each scholar and welcome them with a purpose. This sets the tone for the day. Teachers are not to be eating breakfast while greeting scholars. All side conversations should end when scholars are entering the classroom. They are your priority.

  • Update your grade book weekly. Grade books will be reviewed every 2 weeks.

  • Weekly assessment data will be discussed during our scheduled planning meetings. Therefore, your class' data needs to be submitted to me no later than the Tuesday prior to your team meeting. You may use the scan trons or the form I provided to you. Be prepared to discuss your class' data.
