Property Clean Up in Gooding City

The City of Gooding has been sending letters to all business owners and property owners for property clean up. Life has been so busy and we know that yard work can be last on the list of things to get done. Unfortunately there are properties that do not get any yard work done to them and weeds get out of hand. These properties need attention in order to maintain a beautiful city. It may not bother the homeowner or tenant but most neighbors do not want to deal with overgrown grass or weeds in their neighborhood. We are not picking on any one person but if your address is added to the list of properties that need attention you will be receiving a notice from the City. If your property is not up to code within 10 days the owner &/or tenant will receive a second and final notice. If the property is not cleaned by the date on the second letter the city will be forced to clean the property. If the city cleans the property the cost to do so will be added to your property taxes. If you receive a letter and need additional time call City Hall and let them know. The City also has a truck available for yard waste.

Remember it is the property owners responsibility to maintain the property to the middle of the street to the middle of the alley. This does not mean road maintenance, what it means is taking care of the grass and weeds that most people often forget between the sidewalks and street or the weeds that grow in the sidewalks or along the curb.

Thank you to those property owners that do keep their properties nice and to those that have complied to the letter sent from the City.

If you see a property that needs attention please contact City Hall or if you have any questions (208) 934-5669.
