Internship Sudents Make an Impact in Alexandria
Since the beginning of January, IA students have been participating in internships and making an impact in our community. Students have been establishing professional relationships, learning new skills, and taking on new responsibilities.
In order to ensure that internships provide an engaging experience that develops both career and academic skills, instructors visit students and mentors at the work sites to discuss progress and set goals. Instructors also meet regularly with students to discuss and complete portfolio work.
In April, we will invite parents and mentors to participate in our portfolio presentations. Students will present what they have learned during their internship experience to teachers, mentors, and community members. We hope you will join us to celebrate their achievements.
