The Roaring twenties was an economic boom period that had a positive effect on the daily lives of many (but not all Americans). New technologies such as the automobile, airplanes, radios, and new appliances improved peoples' lives. However , some such as sharecroppers ,farmers, and underpaid factory workers were not able to enjoy this rising standard of living.

Prohibition is a complete ban of making, transporting, and sale of alcoholic beverages in the United States. Some effects of this are...Bootleggers brought alcohol into the United States,Speakeassies started illegal places to drink alcoholic beverages ,and Bootleggers made wood alcohol that could kill people.


Jazz is a mix between syncopated rhythms, blue notes,and Is based off of improvisation

The 19th Amendment

The 19th Amendment was passed in the 1920's giving women the right to vote. This was a rusult of the contribution woman made during the Great War.

Harlem Renaissance

The Harlem Renaissance was a time of laughter,dancing,singing and happiness. This was when African American artist had the most progress.
