Ranger Families!
We've had a great week with our first pep rally under our belts. Our kids came excited with Ranger Spirit! As we head into Week 4, please review the following reminders.
Reminders:
Progress Reports were released Friday.
Open House is on Monday from 5:30-7:00 PM. There is not a set schedule for the evening, and we would like all parents to have access to teachers. If you need an extended conversation with your child's teacher, please schedule a meeting
Tutorials: AM/PM & Advisory
We understand that students need to see their teachers for tutorials before school and occasionally after school. Teachers have communicated tutorial times and availability via the syllabus for their class Please encourage your children to take note of these times to secure a tutorial pass in advance. If your child has a more urgent need and they are uanble to contact the teacher overnight, please have them stop by the Student Services Office in the mail hall at 8:25 AM. Student services can assist with a pass if the teacher is available when the need is requested.
There have been questions regarding after-school tutorials. Students have this option by making arrangements with their teachers based upon availability. We are also working on Advisory options for students. We will publish those details soon. Thank you!

From the Testing Office
Welcome back students and parents to the 23-24 school year. My name is Jennifer Hester and I am the Testing Coordinator for SVHS. What does that even mean Testing Coordinator? As the testing coordinator I organize and give all of the College Board exams in addition to all of the STAAR Required Exams. Throughout the year there is some kind of testing going on almost every month and during the spring there are multiple tests going on during March, April and May. Take a look at the schedules listed below.
Additionally, I work with Mrs. Parker, the Academic Dean, to organize and coordinate all of our AP students to register and pay for AP exams. As we get closer to the AP testing in In May, we will spend a significant amount of time putting together the testing so that everything runs smoothly. This year some of the AP tests will be online we will work towards continuing to provide our students with the best testing environment we can.
There is a significant number of moving parts that goes into providing large scale testing at SVHS. This Ranger Family and Community works hard together to ensure your student(s) are receiving a top-notch education, while providing the best testing environment so students continue to perform at a high academic level.
If you ever have questions please email the Testing Office at: jennifer.hester@comalisd.org
