Greeting parents,

Next week on October 4th and 5th there will be no classes. However, we please make sure that students report to school on MONDAY. To encourage great attendance the campus will be giving out ice popsicles for students who are present on Monday! Attendance matters!!

Strawberry Photography will be visiting our campus to take class and individual pictures on October 17th 2022. Flyer and envelops will be sent out by next week on October 6th 2022.

October is a Fun month at Jefferson Elementary, but we need volunteers!!! If you have registered with VIPS and you are interested in volunteer, please give us a call at 713-696-2778 and get with Ms. Copeland for additional information!

WE finally have our new playground equipment at our Spark Park!! As of 9/19/2022, the playground will be open to our students. I am very excited and proud of our combined efforts to raise enough money to get the city of Houston to build us a new playground!!!

¡Finalmente tenemos nuestro nuevo equipo de juegos en nuestro Spark Park! A partir del 19/09/2022, el patio de recreo estará abierto para nuestros estudiantes. ¡Estoy muy emocionada y orgullosa de nuestros esfuerzos combinados para recaudar suficiente dinero para que la ciudad de Houston nos construya un nuevo patio de recreo!

October College, Career, and Military Readiness Month is jammed packed with events to expose HISD families to opportunities after high school. Join us each week through the month for our district-wide virtual sessions via Zoom. Session topics will range from learning about life in the military to securing scholarships for college, internships, and more.

Lunch visits will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning September 27. All visitors will need to register and approved in VIPS. It can take a few weeks to get approved in VIPS, so register now.

We will have several opportunities for parents and family members to volunteer in our school. Stop by the office and fill out a volunteer form with your availability.
