Marshall LMS Update

Bray's Bulletin

Message from Mrs. Bray

Greetings Ram Family:

We have one week until Thanksgiving Break. I know that our students and staff are looking forward to the break. With the end of the semester right around the corner let's finish strong and make up any assignments you are missing, seek out tutoring opportunities, and arrive to class on time ready to learn.

A special congratulations to volleyball players Elizabeth Cleveland on making first team all district and Pam Lopez for making second team all district! Way to go ladies!

LMS Graduation Date

JMHS and LMS will graduate on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Alamodome.

Students, please do not forget to document your community and volunteer service hours on the following google form.

As a reminder, you are encouraged to complete at least 12 hours per school year. Furthermore, you are awarded hours for volunteering if

  1. you participate in a school sponsored club or event,

  2. and/or community service hours if your voluntary work was intended to help people in a particular area.

Check Out the Go Center!

Do you have questions about College applications or the Financial Aid Application? Check out the “Go Center” site or contact Ms. Blackwell at carla.blackwell@nisd.net.

Save the Date!!!

Save the Date

The District College Fair is coming on Nov 14th. It will be held at the Northside Activities Center and Paul Taylor Fieldhouse, with more than 50 colleges represented. Make plans to attend with your student and watch for the invitation for Marshall’s time to attend.

Attention Seniors!

Seniors should be finishing up their College Applications so they can meet the early scholarship deadlines. Check the university website, early scholarship deadlines can be as soon as November 1st – after that date many of the in-school scholarships will be unavailable.

2023 Marshall Seniors Qualify for Alamo Promise

Alamo Promise is an initiative through the City of San Antonio and the Alamo Colleges. Students must follow all of the steps to complete the requirements and when they register for classes at one of the 5 community colleges, their tuition and fees are waived. It is only open to 2023 Seniors, at this time we do not know if it will be open to seniors next year. Check out https://www.alamo.edu/promise/about/ for more information.

Check Out Procedures

In order to check out your child from Marshall/LMS parents must stop at the front desk to check out their child. Parents will complete a QR Code, give their ID to the front desk attendant, and wait in the foyer. Students will then be called, parents will retrieve their ID, and can leave. This means that parents will not need to come into the lobby because the check out process will be done electronically. Should you have any questions please feel free to call 210-397-7240.
