Second Grader Nola Belnier's piece "Busy Night" along with eight other pieces by students from Chariho are part of a collection for the state that was only display at the URI Feinstein Campus. On Thursday, May 2017, Nola and the other students were recognized for their work at a ceremony in Providence. The high school chorus also gave a performance and two high school students performed a monologue and a poem for the crowd.

PTO Memorial Day Family Event for 3rd and 4th graders
Charlestown School PTO is inviting all third and fourth graders and their families to march in the Memorial Day Parade. All marchers must report to Ninigret Park by 11:30 on Sunday, May 28th. We will board buses. The buses will bring us to the beginning of the parade route at Andross Hardware. The last bus leaves Ninigret at 11:45. Another option is to meet at Andross Hardware by noon. Roads will close at noon. We will have a short rehearsal when we get to Andross Hardware. Please be sure that your child wears comfortable shoes because the parade route along Rt 1A (Old Post Rd) is 2 miles. Your child can wear any combination of red, white, and blue- get creative! The parade starts at 1:00, so you might want to bring a lunch or snack to eat while we are waiting.
We will march toward the beginning of the parade. When we finish the parade, we will board buses at the end of the parade route and return to Ninigret Park. If you need additional information, please contact linda.beaudry@chariho.k12.ri.us.
