The reason
Why I Picked This Kite.
Me and my best friend agree on almost everything. This was not a hard choice to make. All we had to do was look at all the kites and pick one we both liked. That one was the amazing bermuda kite!
Measurements of my kite
The measurements of my kite are: 9.5, 9.5, 9.5, 9.5, 7.5, 7.5, 6.5, 6.5. In order to get the perimeter you have to add up all the sides. I got 66in as my answer. To get the area you have to decompose the shape into 3 rectangels and 4 triangals. To find the area of the triangels you multipy base by height divided by 2. To find the area of rectangels you must multiply base by height. My total area is 621in squared.
Kite Word Problem #1
In 1820, George Pocock connected several large kites to a carriage and pulled it from Southampton to London. Modern kite buggies now go twice as fast but seldom go as far. How fast was the carriage moving? ANSWER:30 miles per hour
