Adapted Community Recreation
Columbia Parks and Recreation offers adapted recreation programs (Adapted Community Recreation), located at Paquin Tower and is designed for individuals with special needs. The program is open to the community. If you wish to participate in any Parks and Recreation activity, yet feel you may need some special accommodation, please call the office.

Adapted Sports
The City of Columbia offers numerous sports to individuals with special needs. Competitions are through Special Olympics, however, competing is not required for participation. When you register, please be sure that your athlete has a current physical and release form. New participants must schedule a New Athlete Meeting prior to participation. To schedule a new athlete meeting, contact Jessica Sida.

Saturday Ceramics
The art room will be open on March 10, 11 am-2 pm. Time to get some projects going!
Pizza Hut
Lunch at will be on March 13 at 1 pm. Please sign up in advance and have a current Rec Card. Don't forget money for lunch ;)
St. Patrick's Day treats :)
Join us in the art room for some yummy easy to make St. Patrick's Day treats at 4 pm on March 16. Don't mind the train show items for the following day, please!! Don't forget to sign up in advance.
Annual Train Show
All aboard!! Come to Paquin Tower lobby on March 17, 10 am-3 pm for a model train extravaganza!! The Mid Missouri Railfans will be here with different models set up for all to enjoy. Concessions will be available to purchase in the art room.
Cooking with Anna
Come join us in the Paquin kitchen area to discuss and sample easy and budget friendly dishes on March 19 at 5 pm. Fee is $1.00.
Adapted Bell Choir
Learn how to play the melody chimes on March 19 at 3:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby of Paquin Tower.
Pancake breakfast
Breakfast will be served on March 23 at 9 am. A plate of 2 pancakes will be $2.00.
Central Dairy
I scream, you scream, we all scream for Central Dairy Ice Cream on March 27 at 11 am. Yum! Please have a current Rec Card and sign up in advance. Trip fee is $3.00.
Dance at the ARC
Join us at the ARC for a fun night of great music and lots of dancing on March 30 at 6:30 pm. Snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door and is located at 1701 W. Ash St. Columbia, MO 65203.
Happy Hour Fitness (HHF)
Happy Hour Fitness is a small group that meets Monday through Friday at 3 pm to be more active. Make sure to ask for Alex!
Unofficial Paquin Movie Group
We're back!! The new, bigger and better T.V. is here! We'll be doing movie nights on Tuesdays at 6 pm.
Adapted Community Recreation Art Room
The art program is a walk-in program, and is open to the community. Participants are free to come and go as they please. The art instructor is usually available at 11 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a studio fee of $2.00 for scheduled crafts and to cover craft materials.
Art Room Hours:
- Mondays: 11 am-8:30 pm
- Tuesdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Wednesdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Thursdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Fridays: 11 am-4 pm
