There are many differences between life in Algeria and life in the United States. The biggest difference between these two cultures is with dating/marriage. Another major difference is with diet and eating. The last major difference between Algeria and the United States is with the holidays that are celebrated.

1. People generally choose who they want to date and who they want to marry.

2. We have a lot of wedding traditions. Some of these traditions include: father/daughter dance and mother/son dance; cutting the first piece of wedding cake together; toasts at wedding ceremonies.

1. We celebrate Labor Day in September and Independence day on July 4th.
