- The average person living in 2014 is not receiving as much nutrients and is not eating as many vegetables as they need to in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle
- In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, you must have the proper calorie intake of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water for your height and weight
- Carbohydrates, proteins and fats are the energy nutrient nutrients which provide the body with energy
- Carbohydrates are a nutrient that provide calories and they are also made up of amino acids (ex: pasta)
- Fat serves as the body's form of long term storage
- And proteins help to nourish muscles
- Vitamins are essential for cell health and growth some common vitamins are:
- vitamin E which is found in vegetables, peas and nuts
- Vitamin C which promotes health and boosts the immune system
- Vitamin K which is found in kale broccoli and leafy greens
- Living a healthy lifestyle isn't all about exercising and eating healthy, you also have to sleep!
- Eating small snacks through the day will help you keep your metabolism and make it easy for you to burn off the calories you just snacked on
- The average woman should eat up to 4 1/2 cups of vegetables per day
