  • Carbohydrates, proteins and fats are the energy nutrient nutrients which provide the body with energy
  • Carbohydrates are a nutrient that provide calories and they are also made up of amino acids (ex: pasta)
  • Fat serves as the body's form of long term storage
  • And proteins help to nourish muscles
  • Vitamins are essential for cell health and growth some common vitamins are:
  • vitamin E which is found in vegetables, peas and nuts
  • Vitamin C which promotes health and boosts the immune system
  • Vitamin K which is found in kale broccoli and leafy greens
  • Living a healthy lifestyle isn't all about exercising and eating healthy, you also have to sleep!
  • Eating small snacks through the day will help you keep your metabolism and make it easy for you to burn off the calories you just snacked on
  • The average woman should eat up to 4 1/2 cups of vegetables per day
