Deforestation In Zimbabwe
What is Deforestation?
Deforestation is when trees are cut down. They are used for household items such as fire wood. This environmental issue is also preformed for settlement and grazing. Deforestation is a worldwide problem. Zimbabwe is just another country that needs to put a stop to it.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!
Causes an effects
Some deforestation causes in Zimbabwe are household needs, clearing the land for crops, and high usage of charcoal. Effects of these causes are animals loosing their homes and runoff easily takes place without the trees to absorb the water and slow it down. Also, the area that used to be a forest will overtime turn into a desert.
The Solution
To stop deforestation a solution would be not allowing certain types of endangered trees to be cut down or greatly limiting how much of a type of tree can be cut down. If we stop letting certain trees
