PHS Upcoming Events
Week of January 6th, 2020
Dear PHS Families,
It's been a quite a week at Potsdam High! Along with all of our normal academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities, we have been busy with concerts, guest speakers, class meetings, homeroom door decorating, and our annual "Roadkill Cafe." Student carollers even made their way around the building. I wish you a safe and wonderful holiday season and happy new year!
Potsdam Central Schools will be closed for the Holiday Break from Monday, December 23rd, through Friday, January 3rd. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6th, 2020 (Day 1).
Any 10th grade student who is interested in attending a St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Seaway Career & Technical Center Program next year needs to submit a completed enrollment application to the PHS Guidance Office no later than January 17th, 2020. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or you may download a copy using the button below. Please contact Mr. Dinan, sophomore counselor, with any questions.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome. All presenting donors will receive a free t-shirt. If your blood type is O Negative, O Positive, A Negative, or B Negative, please consider a Power Red Cell donation. You can schedule an appointment by going to www.redcrossblood.org and typing 13676 in the Zip/Sponsor Code box and then selecting “Potsdam High School.”
There will be a pre-licensing course also known as “the 5-hour course,” on January 13th and 14th from 7:00 - 9:30 pm both nights. This is a DMV-designed classroom course that provides new drivers with information to help them drive safely. New drivers must complete this course (or a New York State approved Driver Education Course) before they can schedule their driving test for their driver’s license. To register, bring $40.00 and a valid driver’s permit to the main office by January 10th.
