DPM Newsletter - 12.2.22
Friday, December 2, 2022
Dear DPM Families,
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! While many students are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of Winter break just a couple of weeks from now, we have seen so many examples where our students continue to work hard and do their best every day. This week, all students focused on the Winter MAP tests in reading and math, an important assessment to measure achievement and growth throughout the year. On Thursday and Friday, we recognized students who were nominated by teachers for this trimester’s Star Awards, a chance to celebrate both academic excellence and give a nod to some who demonstrated our core values: integrity, compassion, curiosity, perseverance, and FUN-tastic. We were disappointed to miss the ceremony due to being away at a conference but would like to thank Mr. Jeremy Fischer and Mr. Rob Wegley, our Assistant Principals, for doing a phenomenal job honoring our students. We are very lucky to have their support!
The week closed with some community outreach today by our 7th-grade Choir with Ms. Mokrzycka who sang carols in the Lake Forest Market Square and inside local businesses. Thank you, students, for another amazing week at DPM!
Sincerely,
Megan Eigenrauch, 5/6 Principal
Sam Paulsen, 7/8 Principal

Reminder about Food Delivery
Students are prohibited from receiving food deliveries from outside vendors such as Door Dash or Uber Eats during the school day and during after-school events/activities. Food delivery services present a safety concern, and we cannot permit unknown individuals bringing unknown items to be delivered to students on campus. Food delivery service for students will be refused by the office staff.
Lost and Found
Please ask your child to check the lost and found in the cafeteria next week. There are dozens of hoodies, water bottles, winter jackets, hats, and gloves that were left behind around school during the first trimester. When we come back from Winter Break, all remaining items will be donated.
Planned Absences Before or After Winter Break
If your child has a planned absence the week before or after Winter Break, please contact the DPM attendance offices as soon as possible. Students should use the online Schoology courses to check for content missed. Thank you in advance!
