Buoyancy
~The force that keeps you floating ~
swimming in fresh water
A study shows that childern are more likely to drown in fresh water than salt. This is because fresh water is at a negative buoyancy or in other words, the buoyancy particles fail to push the object in the upward direction causing it to sink by gravity. This is why most people drown because the gravity is pushing them in a downward direction.
Swimming in Salty water
A person swimming in salt water can float alot easier than a person in fresh water. This is because in salt water the buoyancy particles are at positive. Also meaning that because the salt and buoyancy particles work together in an upward direction causes people to float, which also decrease the level of gravity particles that push the person downwards.
Gravity
Gravity is a force that pushes objects in a downward direction.
Surface Tension
Surface tension is the force of the liquid that resists or withstands external forces.
Pressure
Pressure is the amount of force action on a certain area of the object.
