Principal's Report
This week we had the opportunity to celebrate some of our athletes as they participated in the South Otago Cross Country at Clinton. Congratulations to everyone who ran in this event. It was wonderful to see so many of our parents able to travel to Clinton to support our runners. After a couple of years of COVID restrictions, it is really nice to see some normality come back into our sporting calendar.
On Wednesday our students were involved in the "Wood for Good" programme. The primary focus around this programme was to develop an awareness of the forestry industry and strengthen our understanding of how to be safe around logging vehicles. For the students (and some of the staff), I think the highlight was probably the drone demonstration, and the opportunity to climb into the cab of a logging truck.
The students were all given a safety workbook. Hopefully they were able to share them with their parents at home.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave
