A tribute to Claire Van Winkle
Created by Sophie VW
A dedication
For as long as I can remember, Claire has been my hero. As a kid, it meant following her around the playground, liking what she liked, and hating what she didn't. She was my inspiration, simply for being who she was. Through more time and moral growth, I realized it was about more than just copying her personality. She was meritorious for her strong personality and for the courage she handed out to anyone who asked.
From the top of the mountain
This picture was taken in New Zealand, where Claire spent a semester abroad traveling through little mountain towns, studying the environment, and making great memories.
Rock towers
Ever since Claire and I were kids, we constructed tall towers out of rocks whenever we visited Mackinaw Island, Michigan.
Summers spent traveling
In this picture, Claire and I were posing in front of Lake Louise in Banff, Canada. Every summer for four years now we've traveled together to different national parks.
Running
One of Claire's favorite things to do is go for a run. In this picture we had just finished a race.
Island Hotel
At another trip to Mackinaw Island, Claire and I wondered around town.
Mountains
Heres another picture from our national park visits.
