CDS First Program
The Weekly Word from CDS FP, May 18–May 22, 2020
Hello First Program Community,
Just a few weeks remaining until summer break! We have several special events between now and the end of the year.
Different grades throughout FP will be going on various virtual field trips before the end of the year.
We still have materials pick-ups every two weeks. As the end of the year approaches, it will also serve as an opportunity to drop things off. Students will be able to keep their Chromebooks until the very last day of school, as we use them e-learning on a daily basis.
Grade 4s are beginning to prepare for their transition into CDS Middle School. This preparation continues on Monday with a Zoom conference between the Grade 4s and the Grade 5 house teachers. Make sure you have listened to Mr. Baker and Ms. Montelibano’s video!
Our Silent Art Auction begins on Monday. Wednesday is the start of the online book fair. Wednesday is also a day where we have our materials pick-up. Please see below for further details.
We will have more info soon regarding the Virtual Art Gallery, as well as FP's Got Talent—a fun fine arts event that will take place in the final week of learning.
Please view pictures below of what e-learning has looked like around FP this past week. We look forward to seeing you digitally throughout the week!
Educationally Yours,
Mr. Hill
Director of First Program

The following are suggested times:

If those times do not work for you and you would like to come at another time, of course, no problem. Please call Ms. Park to let us know of your intentions.

The Seesaw Star’s Teacher Spotlight
Each week, we present you a video that shows a day of e-learning from one of our teachers. This week we are showcasing what a day for Mr. Drew Cool is like. We appreciate the great work that all the teachers are doing especially for having adapted so well to e-learning.
