Titan-Up Weekly
April 29, 2016
Greetings BES family and happy Friday!
Thank you for two great weeks of testing. A special “thank you” to teachers and support staff in grades 3-5 for administering and proctoring the Georgia Milestones and to PreK-2nd grade teachers and students for keeping the noise to a minimum.
The end-of-year (EOY) checklist will be placed in your mailbox on Monday. Please adhere to the due dates noted on the checklist. All certified staff members must submit an EOY checklist to a member of the leadership team before leaving for the summer. If you have any questions about the checklist, please see the person noted.
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week! Our PTA has planned a breakfast on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., will provide chips and salsa on Thursday, and lunch on Friday. Be sure to thank them for their generous contribution.
On behalf of the leadership team, thank you!! We appreciate you going over and beyond the call of duty for our students and for how diligently you work to teach the AKS while meeting the social and emotional needs of our students. Enjoy the luxury of wearing jeans on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
It’s hard to believe that we have less than 20 days before the school year ends and summer begins. If you are planning any EOY activities where parents are being invited, please complete a calendar request form so it can be placed on the master calendar if you have not done so already.
Your PROUD principal,
Shonda Gipson Stevens
P.S. The gym is finished for now. P.E. specials will be held in the gym on Monday, May 2.
LOST and FOUND is still in the gym!
