CONTINUING STUDENT REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!

If you have not yet completed the Online Continuing Student Registration, please do so today. Registration is until March 31, 2022. We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2023-2024 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection.

Continuing Registration Steps:

1. Login and complete the digital registration packet via the online registration portal found here.

2. Review and complete any required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed.

Please note: MEDICATION FORMS or ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR.

MESSAGE FOR TK FAMILIES

Hello WWES TK families!

Wow, the year has flown by! The time has come to begin to prepare our TK kiddos for Kindergarten. Beginning Monday, April 3, ALL TK students will enter campus through the back gates with the rest of WWES. Beginning at 7:20am, our TK team of teachers, instructional aides and student ambassadors will be present at the gate and along the way to assist students.

Here are few important reminders for drop off at the back gate:

· The gate opens at 7:10 for breakfast. The playground opens at 7:20.

· If you choose to walk your child in, please park in a visitor spot, or along Matinal Road and walk your student along the sidewalk and crosswalks to the gate.

· Students may be dropped off along the red curb in the drop-off line, but please remain in your vehicle. This is an unloading zone only.

· Students who are not through the back gate by 7:43am will need to go to the front office to check in. Students will be marked tardy.

· The TK gate will no longer be open for drop off.

We appreciate your support!

SAFETY PATROL VIDEO

Safety Patrol has created a video with information on their jobs and how to keep traffic flowing in and around our parking lot. Please watch and see what you can do to help.

Coming Soon! Ability Acceptance Book Donation

Westwood is the recipient of a wonderful donation of books from the Sheryl Lee Osborne Foundation! We are grateful for all those involved in making this happen including Special Education Parent Ambassadors and PUSD Inclusive Practice Team. What’s special about these books? They were curated specifically to address certain topics with regard to ability acceptance and will have QR codes with talking points to help explore these wonderful books and topics when you teach them.

Sending out a HUGE THANK YOU! To those who donated books, the library received 260 books so far this year!

Support the library and your child’s love of reading by purchasing new hardcover books. Here’s a link: Amazon Wish List. Donated books will have a book plate in the front of the book with your child’s name and they’ll have first check out privileges. Celebrate your child’s birthday or a special occasion and donate a book from the Amazon Wish List. Please fill out this google form Birthday Book Club.

The used book sale will be held every Thursday, unless it’s raining, just outside the library. Proceeds of the sale go to buying books that students are asking for. It’s a great way to support the library. Only 25 cents a book!

Donations are welcomed! Please donate gently used children’s books, Method spray cleaner or Kleenex. You can drop them off in the library with a note.
