A note from Mrs. Schnick for the month of August..
Welcome! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. It is hard to believe in less than two weeks we will begin our first day of school. We are so excited to see everyone on the first day of school, August 10!
A lot of work has been done to the school this summer. Additionally we have several new, amazing staff members who have joined our awesome Blackhawk team! To begin with, Mr. Eubank is now our Assistant Principal. New staff includes:

One of the biggest changes this year is the relocation of the middle and high school classrooms. This restructuring was done to help students be successful in multiple ways. Middle school students will attend their classes in the middle school hall and use the concession stand hallway to attend elective classes and lunch. High school students will attend classes in the high school hallway, science wing, and fine arts hall. This design allows hallways to be less congested, thus minimizing the amount of tardies or other delays due to overcrowdedness. It will also help during testing, as both schools test during different times throughout the year. Having minimal noise in the hallway will allow students to focus with less distractions.
Student schedules will be available on PowerSchool August 1. Students should log into their PowerSchool account to view their schedule. Questions about scheduling should be directed to Mrs. Wilkinson at kwilkinson@westville.k12.in.us. Printed schedules and locker number/combinations will be printed and available at the open house.
A school supply list can be found below. Most teachers have uploaded necessary supplies for their class. General supplies are always necessary. More supplies may be needed. Students will be informed of this by their teacher.

Cafeteria Information
Free and reduced lunch forms are available and must be completed prior to the first day of school in order for a student to receive a meal. For more information about free and reduced lunch or any other cafeteria related questions, please contact our Food Service Director, Karen Hagenow, at khagenow@westville.k12.in.us. You can register online for free and reduced lunch or fill out a printed form below and send it in.
Updated Safety Protocol
If your child is leaving the school, he or she will be escorted out Door 3.
Visitors into the building will be strictly monitored.
