Goodness Grows News
September 2018
We had a great year at the fair! Our staff and clients worked their hardest and entered several different jams in the Arts & Crafts building, two pumpkins in the Pumpkin Barn, and some vegetable selections in the Grange. We are so proud to report two first place ribbons for jam and a third place for a decorated pumpkin. We took a field trip to the fair and everyone got a kick out of seeing our entries displayed. As the Canfield Fair tagline states, it definitely was "something to crow about!"
Looking for some blue ribbon winning Blueberry Lemonade or Peach Habanero jams? Hungry for our Cranberry Jalapeno Jungle Jam, the 2015 Canfield Fair Best of Show winner? In search of one of our other delicious flavors? Contact us through our website, on Facebook, send an email, or give us a call! We would be glad to arrange a pick-up or delivery. Or, if you are out shopping, our jams are carried in Salem at Reach for the STARS, the Supplement Station, and Simply Scarves...and Such. They are also at the other three Simply Scarves...and Such locations in Columbiana, Austintown, and Minerva. Our jam selection varies with the seasons and not all flavors are available year-round.
High School Classes Return!
The new school year has started and classes are back at Goodness Grows! Leetonia High School has been here twice already and Crestview and Salem start their visits this week. We love this time of the year...final harvesting is being done, the weather is cooling down, and our friends are here to work on all the autumn tasks with us. The students have helped with grape processing, jam making, catnip toy making, cleaning, and pumpkin painting so far and we have plenty more fun projects to tackle together in the upcoming days.
Special Projects We Work On
Community Supported Agriculture
Our 2018 CSA is drawing to a close with only two more pick-up days left. We appreciate all the folks who subscribed this year! You all have been a pleasure to work with and we have enjoyed seeing you each week. Keep your eyes peeled for CSA 2019 info, coming in late winter/early spring. We would love to have our current subscribers join in again, and we invite new subscribers to jump on board.
