Wixie integrated with Google Classroom
With the latest Wixie update, students and teachers can now share their projects to Google Classroom. Students can share a project to Google Classroom either from the Send menu when they are editing a project in Wixie, or from the action buttons on their student dashboard. Teachers can share their projects either from the Send menu when they are editing a project in Wixie, or from the Share dialog in the Projects tab. Students and teachers do not need to be logged in to their Wixie accounts to view the Wixie projects in Google Classroom. If you want students to see an assigned activity in their Activities tab in Wixie, teachers will need to assign that activity in Wixie. Wixie projects can be turned in to any assignment made in Google Classroom.
Cart Etiquette
- Please only schedule carts for a set block of time, ie: start: 1:00, end: 3:00 - not "all day" events. Other users may not see your appointment at the top since it doesn't block out the time on the calendar view.
- If you need a cart 2 days in a row, create 2 separate appointments by using the "Recurrence" tool. Don't start on 1 day and end the next day. Again, this will lead to double bookings.
- Please make sure to return the cart to its home AND plug it in so it's ready to go the next day.
- Most issues on the student laptops can be resolved by shutting down and rebooting. If that doesn't take care of it, submit a Unity ticket (1 per laptop). Sticky notes only help if a ticket has already been submitted.
In the SAW Staff course in Technology Life Hacks there is a file titled Beginner's Guide to Sawnee with detailed direction for reserving carts. :) Let me know if you need help!
