Good evening Jags!

It is hard to believe but we are in the last full week until the end of the school year Jags. Yes, we still have school next week on Tuesday, 5/30, to finish up 2nd & 7th period exams.

Please make sure all obligations are being taken care of at this time. Library books, parking fines, technology checked out, athletics, spirit, Fine Arts, uniforms, etc., need to be returned ASAP. For seniors you must be cleared with all obligations by May 26th or you will not be able to walk. For underclassmen, you must be cleared of all obligations by May 30th or it can affect your start to the 23-24 school year. Please be sure to return all items borrowed this year.

We are looking forward to a great finish to the 2022-23 school year for our Jags!

As we finish the final week of school, there are a few areas of concern with students forgetting some rules and expectations. Please help with these reminders.

1. CTJ & NEISD are closed campuses during the day. Students cannot leave campus without checking out through the Attendance Office. This especially applies during lunch time. Students cannot leave during lunch to go pick up food.

2. Food can only be dropped off to a student by a family member. Any food delivered by a delivery service will be picked up and sent to the office until the end of the day. There is no way to verify who has sent food to be delivered so we will not allow delivery services to drop off food for students.

3. Being on time in the morning. As we get to the end of the semester and year, remember that when a student is over 5 minutes late to a class, by State Law they are considered absent according the 90% Rule. Please be sure we are leaving for school in the morning to get to class on time.

We appreciate everyone's help as we wrap up a great school year!

May 19 - 24 = Senior Semester Exams

May 24 - 30 = Underclassmen Semester Exams

May 29 = Memorial Day school holiday

May 30 = last day of school

Reminder that when you come to Johnson HS during the school day, you must have your picture ID with you to come inside. Please have it out to show when you buzz in at the front door and ready to present at the Welcome Center.

For checking students out at Attendance, you will need to come inside and present your ID. Reminder that all absent notes must be paper copies. We can not use emailed notes this year.

Students, if you owe something or need to clear a fine, please contact our bookkeeper, Mrs. Zagrzecki at 210-356-0455, or stop by the office to check on it.

All fines must be cleared and all property borrowed during the year must be returned.

Senior Exams started last Friday! Please be sure to check the Semester Exam Schedule linked below!

Senior Exams: Friday, 5/19 - Wednesday, 5/24

Underclassmen Exams: Wednesday, 5/24 - Tuesday, 5/30

Exams:

All semester exams must be taken during the day and time scheduled to allow for live proctoring of the exam. Semester exams cannot be taken early. If a student misses their semester exam they will receive a grade of “1”.

Students who are unable to take a final examination according to the school's schedule have until 6/15/23 to make up in the front office in order to fulfill the requirements of the course(s). While students should complete their finals as soon as possible, we will work with families that cannot meet this deadline.

*Parents/students should call the front office to schedule appointments from 5/31 to 6/15 between 8:00am-4:00pm to make-up an exam. Keep in mind the school will be closed on Friday, 6/9.
