Lethal Ladies!
Thespian Conference
Late payments will be accepted until the final payment due date when I need the full remaining balance paid for in full. I need at least 2 weeks for the money to get deposited by the district and a check for payment must be sent in the mail to MO Thespians by early December, so I cannot extend past the final payment date. Please adhere to these guidelines.
Payment dates:
Oct 1- $150 (deposit)
Oct 15- $100
Nov 1- $100
Nov 15- Remaining Balance ($150+)
I hope to cover all extras from department funds such as scholarships, IEs, tech challenge, improv intensive, etc.
Hotel information and extra spending information coming out closer to the conference.
I have 6 spots filled at this time! There are 24 spots available! Even though the first 2 payments have been due, I will still accept people signing up to attend. This is an amazing opportunity for your student(s) to get additional education in theatre, including performance and tech opportunities, scholarships, and networking with colleges and professional theaters and organizations.
Improv's Last-Minute Update!
**If you bring a large trash bag filled with clothing to donate for our Saver's FUNDrive, you will receive a free drink and candy or bag of chips for the evening's performance.**
Bring It On: The Musical
Reminders that we have tech workday weekends coming up that are required for all cast and crew. Those dates are:
10/30/21- 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
10/31/21- 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM
11/6/21- 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
11/7/21- 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM
We LOVE parent assistance on these days with technical elements! Cast is expected to help with technical elements to gain more pride about the entire production and share some of the tech appreciation. The cast will also have some breaks from tech and will be working on stunting and choreography on these days as well. Aeriona Verge, our show's choreographer, is planning on being in on those days to work choreography boot camps to tighten up our performance on the big number songs.
As we get closer to show, we will be needing parents to assist with a cast/crew dinner on Wednesday, November 10th on the parent preview night. This will be served after the final dress/parent preview to ensure our cast is able to perform fully as it is a very physical show. We will also need a parent volunteer for managing the Cappies room with senior, Olivia Zuniga. I will know after next weekend which night Cappies is scheduled to attend our show. Below are links to sign up for helping on these events!
Performance Dates and Times:
November 10th- Parent Preview, start final dress performance at 4:30 PM
November 11-13- Show nights; Tickets are $10.00; Show is at 7:00 PM, doors open at 6:30 PM.

FUNdraising!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Chipotle Food Night on September 28th! We had a great show out that gave us a nice donation of $150.00!! We really appreciate your support at these events! We are currently working on setting up two more food nights at various locations in the Northland. We all need to eat, so might as well get a donation out of the normal order! These are some fun ways in which we can make easy money for the program!
Donations will continue to be collected through December 10th. The Thespian Board and directors will be delivering things to Saver's the morning of the 11th. If you attend any shows this fall, if you bring a large trash bag filled with clothing and other soft goods to the show night for donation, then you will receive a ticket for a free candy or bag of chips and a ticket for a free beverage at our concession stand that night.
Parent Communication
One form of communication is our Theatre Parents Band App. This is where parents will get various information that is happening within the theatre department such as our show schedule, major events, parent meetings, and more. There is a QR code below to take you to this page to sign up.
A second form of communication is getting on our parent email list for the 2021-2022 school year. This is where we will email this newsletter out, but also reach out to parents for volunteer work on show nights. This is how most communication has been done in the past. There is a QR code below to take you to the link to register your email on our theatre parent page on our website.
A third way of communication is social media. We will post things occasionally on our social media sites. These include Facebook, instagram, twitter, and even our weekly thespian board blog on the website! These are great ways to hear about things that are coming up with the department. We have two students who are managing these along with myself, they are Hannah Butts and Izzy Christus!
