2018 Parent Survey
Dear SMS Parents,
It is that time of year where we need your thoughts and comments about how we are doing. You will find the 2018 SMS School Survey attached. Please take a few moments to thoughtfully complete the anonymous survey. We use the data collected to guide us in our programming, staffing, and long term planning. We will again share our results with you before the end of this academic year, so the survey will only be open for 3 weeks. I thank you in advance for your participation and look forward to hearing your thoughts. A few quick notes about the survey. In order to collect the most accurate data:
1. Please only fill out one survey per family
2. Please share your thoughts. We love reading comments - praise, suggestions for improvement, or anything constructive
3. The survey should be filled out in reference to K-11 students only (Pre-K will have their own survey)
4. The survey has 28 multiple choice questions, plus open-ended questions for typed comments
5. It should take about 10-20 minutes to fill out.
Peace and Blessings,
Mrs. Beam
Circle of Grace Annual Training
Dear Parents and Families,
As a requirement of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, the Diocese of Burlington asks that all Catholic schools set aside time each year to teach children and youth age-appropriate lessons about personal safety, healthy boundaries, and sexual abuse prevention.
The curriculum is steeped in the truths of the Catholic faith, and it provides a holistic approach to the safety, well-being, and spiritual formation of children and youth.
It is important that parents are fully informed as to what will be presented to their children, along with when and where this information will be presented. Please refer to the following links if you would like to review the material that will be presented to your child(ren):

(Password: CHILDOFGOD)
Saint Michael School will present the Circle of Grace and/or Circles of Care curriculum in religious education class time over the course of the rest of the month of March, for grades K-11.
We encourage your child to attend so that we may have the opportunity to teach valuable child safety lessons from a Catholic perspective. However, we recognize that you are the primary educators of your children. If you do not wish your child to attend this lesson, we respect your choice. We ask that if this is the case, you please fill out the form and return to the office by Monday, March 19th.
Please ONLY fill out the form in the attachment below if you do NOT wish for your child to participate in this curriculum.
Thank you!
