Maxar GIS Presentation Monday
GIS is a scientific framework for gathering, analyzing, and visualizing geographic data to help us make better decisions. It affects the lives of students in various ways—from using Google Maps, to playing Pokémon Go, etc. The industry has a dedicated GIS Day where we step out into our local communities to teach kids about GIS and inspire them to consider a future career working in STEM. The presentation will be led by someone who works in the industry and will discuss satellites that collect GIS data, what satellite imagery can show us, and how we can implement it in our daily world to help with environmental concerns like fires and climate change. There will be time for questions and answers from interested students. Please join us on Zoom on Monday at 1:30 PM.
Final Portrait Dates for 9th-11th Grade
All underclass portraits have been shipped and delivered to parents' homes. Portraits are also to view and order online at vosphoto.com/stonebridge. Students should use their Student ID as the online code to access and order their photos. Please direct questions or concerns regarding portraits to underclass@vosphoto.com.
The portrait retake and makeup day is scheduled on November 30. Appointments are available for:
- Students who missed the earlier portrait sessions.
- Students who purchased a package and are dissatisfied with their photo. Students will need to turn in their original package at their appointment.
Please schedule your appointment at: pickatime.com/vos/stonebridgehsmu. You will receive directions regarding ordering packages in your appointment confirmation.
Return Library Books
If you have library books at home from the 2019-2020 school year, please drop them at school before winter break. We have students and teachers who need many of those resources for projects. There is a cart in the main lobby where you can place them. Thank you for your help. If you have any questions, please contact one of the librarians.
