Vietnam War
NOVEMBER 1, 1955 - APRIL 30, 1975
EVENT
In Vietnam, most of northern Vietnam believed in communism while most of the southern parts of the country disagreed. The U.S. had entered into Vietnam in order to help the Southern parts fight against the pro communism people and Viet Cong. In the end, the American troops withdrew and the war ultimately resulted in many deaths.

A Cold War Continued
Why was it important in delaying the Cold War?
This situation is much like Korea where a division had almost taken place in order to stop conflict. It also showed that the U.S. shouldn't have gotten involved and should've let Vietnam settle the internal conflict. Getting involved only helped to continue the Cold War.
