Week 1: Welcome Back
Welcome Back to School!
What a wonderful start to our new school year – to balloons, cheering, and cowbells. We can always use more cowbells! Thank you PTL for making our first day so special! Thank you, also, to everyone who came to the Back-to-School Open House on Sunday. The school was filled with so much energy and excitement. It was especially heartwarming to see our returning families connecting to our new families. I'm praying and expecting that this will be a wonderful year!
The theme for this year is Making Disciples for Life, based on Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Next week, I’ll unpack what that means for us at Grace.
Grace has some staffing changes and additions this year. Welcome to Ms. Stephanie Gansberg, middle school science and 7th grade homeroom; Mrs. Caty Gilliam, PE teacher; and Mrs. Allison Moldenhauer, PK teacher. Two teachers changed names – Mrs. Christina Sasso and Mrs. Caroline Williams – due to their recent marriages. Two teachers changed positions – Mrs. Christy Dodson is teaching 1st grade and Mr. Ben Lanier is teaching middle school history.
I ask that you keep Grace, it students, families, teachers, and staff in your prayers. I am looking forward to working with you all this year!
