Kingsmen Parent Newsletter
My City, My School, My Family......NCM!
Week of August 2, 2021 - Week 3
Welcome to Week 3 of the school year! By this time, students will now start diving into the curriculum content of their classes. NCM teachers spent the last two weeks on social and emotional learning activities to build relationships amongst classmates and to stress the importance of collaborating as a team. This week, we will begin tutoring in the library! See the flyer below for more information. Tutoring will be available before and afterschool with a teacher to assist students with assignments or technology. Please feel free to send your child to receive assistance.
Thank you to the families who joined us on Zoom for our Meet and Greet with NCM Administration on Friday. It was great meeting parents online and answering parent questions. In case you missed it, we will hold a repeat of the event for your convenience on Monday, August 2nd at 5:00pm on Zoom. Hope to see you there!
Please be mindful of the following dates:
- August 2, 2021: Meet and Greet parent event with NCM Administration at 5:00pm. See flyer below.
- August 11, 2021: Save the date! Title I Parent Meeting at 5:00pm online. See you there!
Make it a great week Kingsmen families!
*****Important Information for Week 3*****
2. Students should bring refillable water bottles. We have refilling stations available for student use around campus.
3. Alternative Household Income Verification forms will be sent home on Wednesday. You may be asking, "What is this form's purpose?" This form collects incomes of Kingsmen families to allocate resources for our school. We strongly encourage all families to complete a form to ensure we maintain our funding for our current software programs, tutoring, staffing, classroom technology and more! We kindly request you to submit it as soon as possible and ask your child to return it to their advisory teacher. For a sample of the Alternative Household Income Verification form, click on the English version or Spanish version.
4. Jupiter Grades is NCM's online gradebook for students and messaging system. You should have received an email with you login information last week. Please remember to check Jupiter on a minimum weekly basis to receive your child's current grades.
