When Passion Ignites Engagement!
What is your passion?
Passion in the classroom!
As I read the book Teach Like a Pirate by Dave Burgess, I started to think about passion. We all have our own passions, professionally and personally, but how do our passions drive our teaching and our learning? This is a question that I have thought about more recently as I continue to ask myself the very important question of why? Why am I doing this? Why is this important for my learners? Why is this what is best for this student? I like how Dave Burgess talks about passions in categories: Content Passion, Professional Passion, and Personal Passion. More importantly, I love that he relates passions back to the classroom...not only our passions as teachers, but what are the passions that our students have? I encourage you to find out what your students are passionate about and then I encourage you to teach these students passionately! 5 Ways to Share Your Passion
