Raider Update
A Weekly eNewsletter from Hastings Public Schools
Message from the Superintendent
Good afternoon Raider families,
The trees are changing, and the weather is too. So now is a great time to check if the hats, mittens, jackets, and boots still fit. If you find yourself in need of supplies, Hastings Family Services is a great place to start. The COVID report for this week shows the district's positive counts continuing to rise; 62.5 per 10,000 over the past 14 days, while the county is at 49.7. Our cumulative building counts are as follows:
High School 23 students, 3 staff
Middle School 31 students, 2 staff
Elementary 24 students, 5 staff
Tilden 2 students, 2 staff
You can order no cost, home test kits from Vault ahead of time. Dakota county also has a resources list on its website.
By now, you most likely have signed up for conferences taking place next week. However, if you have not received information about conferences, please reach out to your student's building. Contact information is at the bottom of this update.
Finally, just another reminder to check out the school calendar and events calendar, so you are aware of both non-school days as well as fun things like concerts and plays.
Have a great weekend!
Bob McDowell, Ed.D.
Superintendent
