Staff Highlight-Third Grade Team

Mrs. Hoeing

Hi, my name is Gina Hoeing. I am married to my husband, Matt and we live in Greensburg with our four children; Elijah (21), Emelia (Senior), Kobe (7th grade), and Kade (2nd). My family takes up most of my free time attending various activities which I enjoy, but I do love to shop and read. I grew up in Decatur County and graduated high school from NDHS. I attended Ball State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 25th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. Teaching is my passion and I LOVE teaching at North Decatur! 😍

Mrs. Meyer

Hi, my name is Cassie Meyer. This will be my 9th year teaching here at NDE! I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State in 2013. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, Title and Special Education. I am from Rushville, IN. Now, I live here in Greensburg with my husband Joe, and my 10 month old daughter, Emily. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to Orlando, Florida to visit my parents. I also love golfing whenever I get free time. I am excited to make this the best school year yet! I love working here at NDE and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Mrs. Kramer

Hello! My name is Carla Kramer, and I teach 3rd grade at NDES. I graduated from Ball State University where I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and have enjoyed each of these teaching experiences. This is my 34th year of teaching! I have been married to my husband Don for 34 years, and we have 3 grown children, Kelsey, Kaleb, and Kyle. In my free time, I love reading, boating at Lake Santee, taking jeep excursions, collecting antiques, and traveling with my family. Teaching is my passion and every day is a new and exciting adventure! I feel so blessed to be able to work with the amazing students, families, and staff at NDES!

Mrs. Gray

My name is Amy Gray. This is my 21st year as a teacher at North Decatur Elementary. I

have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade, and SOAR over those 21 years. I think that

NDE has the absolute BEST staff & students around. I received my Bachelor’s degree

from IUPUC and I have a Master’s degree from Olivet University. My husband and I live in

Greensburg. We are often found supporting our kids at their many activities. My 2 boys

attend North Decatur High School - Go Chargers! My daughter is in second grade, and my

2-year-old is enjoying meeting new friends at the babysitter! I absolutely love spending

time with my family. I also love being a teacher and watching my students grow throughout

the school year.

Vision Screenings

Vision screenings sponsored by the Lions Club will be held Tuesday, September 20th for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they bring them to school that day. Parents will be notified if there is a concern with their child's vision screening.
