This Week In Math:

The students finished working on their final math project of creating a coordinate grid city. The students named their city and gave it a theme. All the street names, buildings, park and attraction names needed to correlate with their theme. Below are some examples of finished cities. The students did a fantastic job!

End of year field trips

* Students will need to pack their lunch on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

* Bug spray and sun screen will need to be applied at home

* Tennis shoes and long pants are recommended for Monday & Tuesday's hike. Students may change into shorts later in the day if wanted.

* Students may bring sand pails and shovels on Thursday to the beach

Monday - Zimmerman Trail hike

Tuesday - Morton Park pond study

Wednesday - Awards ceremony, 5th grade luncheon, year book signing

Thursday - Headlands Beach, clap out

Friendly reminders and upcoming events

  • May 23rd is the 5th grade concert at 7pm at Morton
  • May 24th is Dairy Queen Putt Putt "Fun Night" from 3-9pm. All profits will help fund Art education at Morton
  • Awards Assembly on May 25th at 10am at Morton
  • May 25th is the MD classroom celebrations at 6:30pm in the gym
  • Student's last day is May 26th. 5th grade clap out at 2:50pm
  • Reports cards available on June 1st

Art Museum field trip memories
