We ended the week with a great Community Meeting presented by some of our 7th and 8th students and our one and only Ms. Sirico! Student of the Month and Rising Star awards were given out and teachers participated in a challenge. Mr. Iannone our 7th grade Social Studies teacher took the prize!

We have an exciting week coming up. On Wednesday Feb. 2nd we have report card conferences. Be sure to set up an appointment with your child’s teacher.

We are also celebrating 2/2/22 and you’re invited to participate in Tutus, Ties, and Tennis Shoes! Two anonymous donors will contribute $2 for every student that comes to school wearing a tutu, a tie, or MISMATCHED tennis shoes. One dollar will be donated to Bishop Woods and the other dollar will support Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation. Everyone can participate. Teachers will keep track of student participation and the class with the most 2/2/22 spirit will be recognized school wide. Students are also welcome to make donations, and any money collected will go directly to support Bishop Woods programming.

Also on 2/2/22, join the Bishop Woods Community in celebrating the 13th annual World Read Aloud Day. This is a virtual event from 7:00-7:30 PM. Wear your pajamas or your tutus, ties, & tennis shoes and come listen to some bedtime stories. All are welcome, and you won’t want to miss our special guests.
