Character word of the Month: Reverence
Hello Mustang Families,
May is here and we are so busy at McClure. We have a lot of things going on this month. We start May with Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6. We are so lucky to have amazing teachers and staff at McClure. Help us show extra love and appreciation all week during this special time of recognition.
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the State Smarter Balanced Assessment this month. This is a rigorous test that requires a lot of concentration. Please help your student to be able to show us what they know. At home you can make sure that they get a good night's rest before the test, and that they get an awesome breakfast that morning. Please make sure that students are arriving on time. They will not be allowed to enter the testing room if they are late for school.
Thank you for all that you do to support your child and our school!
Sincerely,
Jaime Lee

Student placement 22-23
Parents/Guardians,
During the month of May, teachers, and administrators of McClure Elementary School begin the process of creating classrooms for the following school-year. To balance each class, we consider the following criteria:
All classes will have equal numbers of students
All classes will have equal numbers of girls and boys
All classes will have an ethnic balance
All classes will have an equal balance of high, average, and low performing students
Other criteria considered include behavior patterns, special needs, language acquisition levels, and peer relationships.
In order to maintain the integrity and balance of classrooms, McClure will not honor parent requests for individual classroom teachers for the 2022-23 school year. Parents may, however, provide information about their child that may influence the final class placement. If you believe you have compelling information to share about your child, please pick up a form in the office or call 573-1300 and we can email one to you. Please fill out and return by May 10th, 2022.
Thank you!
