A Note from the Principal
Full swing ahead!
CAST Teach has had a successful start to the school year! We hope you have heard great things from your students about our new building and their teachers.
September is a busy month and we'd like to share some info about upcoming events. There is so much to experience in high school and we want your students to be informed about all the ways in which they can participate.
We are also on the search for parent volunteers to help us with field trips, to sit on our Leadership team and to provide feedback to the CAST Network. Sign up below.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Attendance Matters! You must be in attendance for 90% of each of your High School Courses in order to receive credit. Bell Rings at 9:00AM and Releases at 4:20PM
Students received attendance information through grade level assemblies this week and we’d like to share some of the highlights of that information with you.
Texas Compulsory Attendance Law states that students must attend 90% of the days a class is offered in order to receive credit for the class. This means that students can pass a course and they will not receive credit due to their attendance. The 90% rule breaks down in the following way….
1st Semester Courses - 7 Absences ONLY
2nd Semester Courses - 10 Absences ONLY
Full Year Courses - 17 Absences ONLY
- Touchscreen Chromebook/Acer
- Chromebook Charger
Students are expected to bring their chromebooks to school every day.
If a student loses their charger, they will be required to purchase a new charger.
