The week of February 1st - 5th, you will receive your PSAT scores and register for the School Day SAT. In order to do this, you must know your College Board Username and Password. If you do not remember this information, please visit College Board and use the "forgot username or password" function. You must do this by February 1st in order to ensure a smooth SAT registration process.

Financial Aid Presentation & Workshop: February 3rd

Students and Parents:


Are you wanting to get more information about how to fill out the FAFSA ( Free Application for Federal Student Aid)? A representative from Austin Community College will be here on February 3, 2016 to give a presentation explaining the FAFSA and how to complete the form. The presentation will begin at 6:30 pm.


If you are needing one-on-one assistance with filling out the FAFSA, we will be holding a workshop in the college and career room, C200 and a parent information session in the lecture hall from 9:05 am to 4 pm with a lunch break between 12-1 pm.

AP Exam Registration Begins January 11, 2016

For the 2016 AP Exams, the cost is $97 per exam (Free & Reduced - $27)


Late Registration fees (in addition to exam cost):


  • Mar 10 - Mar 16, $15 late fee per test
  • Mar 17 - Mar 23, $30 late fee per test
  • Mar 24 - April 1, $55 late fee per test

PTSA Valentine's Day Sales

The PTSA will be doing Valentine's Day Sales on Friday February 5, Monday February 8, and Friday February 12. This year we will be delivering items that are pre-ordered on the 5 and 8 during sixth period on the 12.


To send an item to a student we will need to know the name of the student, the name of the class they have 6 period, and the teacher's name. February 5 and 8 will be pre-order sales only. February 12 will be grab and go sales. We will have candy and small stuffed animals for sale this year. Most items will cost between $1 and $5.

CRASH: Save the Date: February 11, 2016

Join the Cedar Ridge PTSA for Crash: A an informative presentation on driving safely.


This class will cover the dangers of DWI, texting while driving, driving while tired and more. The class will begin with a video presentation of families dealing with the consequences of these actions. It will also cover the graduated license program. This class is for students and parents.


In addition to the class we will have a short PTSA meeting, FREE PIZZA, door prizes and more. One of our door prizes will be a parking spot for next year.

Yearbook Deadlines

There are two important things to remember when it comes to the Excalibur Yearbook in January -- the deadline to purchase senior ads is coming up and the deadline to order personalized yearbooks in school is coming up. Both deadlines are the same: Friday, January 29th.


To purchase a SENIOR AD, click on the link below that will take you to the order form. We need an order form for every senior ad, whether you pay for it here in school or on line. The printed order form is how we keep track of sales.

Remember, new this year is the option to pay for the ad online with a credit card. We still need the order form, but you now have payment options. Lots of people like order PERSONALIZED YEARBOOKS with the student's names, perhaps a quote, or saying and some icons to represent the activities they're involved in. Here at school, we will stop taking personalized orders at the end of January. That gives us time to process all the orders.
