Rule #50

"Be positive and enjoy life. Some things just aren't worth getting upset over. Keep everything in perspective and focus on the good in your life."

The Essential 55 by Ron Clark

MAP Testing

Monday is the last 'scheduled' day for MAP testing. I'm sure there have been schedule changes, but please be sure you have logged your student makeups in the google doc that Megan provided in the email she sent out a few weeks ago. It is here:

Megan will be contacting you about makeup testing this week. If you have questions or concerns, email her please.

Intent Forms and Transfer Requests

Please remember to complete the google form that Sabrina McCall sent out as Intent Forms. These are due next Wednesday, the 13th. You must be signed in to your Google account or it will say you don't have access. Let me know if you have difficulties.

Additionally, transfer forms were also attached to the email. These aren't due until late January.

This Week's Schedule

Monday: Continue with MAP Testing

Tuesday: Interim Reports go home (See my email from Friday with details.)

PD - Data collection: Bring all data you have on your students. This will be a work session.

Firehouse Subs Night

Wednesday: Grade-Level Planning

Thursday: Student Chorus trip to the Legacy

Friday: Milk and Cookies with Santa from 6:00-8:00

National Dropout Prevention

Beginning December 15th, we will be hosting an office space for the National Dropout Prevention Center, also associated with Dr. Bill Daggett's organization, Successful Practices Network. We will be converting two classrooms at the end of the third grade hallway, closest to the playground end. These two classrooms will become offices for this group of professionals. They will not be checking in at the office each day, but will have a key and access to the building at all times. They will park in the back lot near the playground. Do not be alarmed as you see them entering and exiting the building each day. Their hours and work calendar will be different from ours.

PTO Fundraiser

Did you know that our PTO board has agreed to allow all funds from Hustle for the Heart this year to go towards building our literacy collection? All money raised will be allocated for additional leveled text and classroom books for students! How incredible is that?

When you see a PTO member, please thank them for their support of literacy instruction!

***There are still funds marked for 'playground' which will be used for playground improvement such as the possibility of a fence and a shade structure.
