Community Engagement Phase I Report by E.O. Sullivan | watch
EOSullivan representative Collin Corbett presented the results of the community feedback from Phase I of the community engagement process. He also highlighted next steps and explained the work that will take place in Phase 2 starting in May. Click here for the report.

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER III Fund) | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter shared information about the reimbursement ESSER III Fund and the application District 41 has submitted. He also provided a summary of all ESSER fund reimbursements (I, II, III).

Final Strategic Plan Draft | watch
Superintendent Kaczkowski introduced consultant Dr. Steve Webb who provided an overview of the process that led to the final draft of the District 41 Strategic Plan. Dr. Kaczkowski presented the final draft Strategic Plan document. She emphasized the revisions made based on Board and community feedback. Board members asked questions and engaged in conversation about the plan and process moving forward.

Food Service Request For Proposal (RFP) | watch
Mr. DePorter shared that the district is seeking proposals for a new food service vendor. The current contract/partnership with District 15 will not be renewed next year due to their need to focus on their own district food service. A new provider will be identified for Board approval in May with service starting next school year.
Technology Purchase: Sentinel One - Endpoint Protection | watch
Director of Technology and Innovation Andrew Peterman explained the need for cybersecurity upgrades. This purchase will support this need by being more proactive in our approach to cybersecurity.
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) Refresh eRate Project | watch
Director of Technology and Innovation Andrew Peterman shared that the D41 Technology Services department has been engaged in a review of all current existing Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) systems throughout the district’s 12 network Main Distribution Frame (MDFs), and Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDFs) closets. After review, it was concluded that the UPS systems in eight of the 12 closets will need to be replaced with standardized equipment at a cost of $59,519. This project is eligible for e-Rate funding and if approved, the district will receive a rebate in the amount of approximately $31,856.83.
Additional Mental Health Support at Hadley for the 2022-2023 School Year | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Marci Conlin shared a request from Hadley Junior High school for an additional social worker for next school year. Hadley presented data supporting the need and the administration supports this request.
