HELP DETROIT!!!!
By grace palmer
Don't sell the Detroit Institute Of Art
- Detroit is becoming bankrupt because the city has a 17 billion dollars in debt that they need to pay.
- If more tourists don't come to the museum then the city will have more debt to pay
- The debt that Detroit has to pay is about 20 billion dollars
- The museum collection contains more than 185,000 volumes and the museum subscribes to over 200 periodicals.
No money
Because of Detroit going bankrupt the museum now has to shut down as well as the whole Detroit government
When they sell all of the art they will only have a little bit of money to pay part of the debt, they will probably only have about 2 billion dollars but they will still need to pay 15-17 billion dollars
