Free meals for kids

MONDAY, 11/16

  • 11:00-12:00
  • Drive-thru only
  • 5 Days of Breakfast and Lunches
  • Kids do not need to be present

Good Evening Clover Flat Redhawk Students and Families,

Next week we have Meals on Mondays from 11:00-12:00. Children ages 2-18 get 5 days of free meals. Children do not need to be present.

A decision will be made early next week regarding our return to school plan for after Thanksgiving. We realize the back and forth learning is hard on our families, especially with short notice, but we want to make an informed decision. We are eligible to open as a district even though the county has moved into the most restrictive purple tier. Dr. Keeley will be discussing our options with families and staff members.

Parent Teacher Conference Week is coming! Live zooms will end each day by 11:45 so that teachers can host conferences with families over Zoom or by phone. Students will still be responsible for completing their online assignments in Seesaw or Google Classroom.

Appointments were scheduled and sent home last week, so if you are unsure of your day/time, please contact your student's teacher. Conferences are a great opportunity to discuss your child's strengths and learning opportunities, check out the resources below to make the best use of conference time.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and have a good weekend,

Amy Conforth, Principal

Parent Teacher Conference Tips and Questions to Ask

What will we talk about? Your child’s teacher will probably talk about your child’s grades, classwork, homework, and behavior. If you are invited to a conference, it doesn’t mean your child is in trouble! Teachers try to meet with all parents. Can't meet on Zoom, conferences can be done by phone as well.

Be on time for the meeting. End the meeting on time. Other parents will probably have a conference after yours. If you have more to discuss, schedule a follow up meeting with your student's teacher.

Ask for explanations of anything you don’t understand.

Ask your child’s teacher for ways that you can help your child at home.

Below are a couple of resources to learn more about why and how to have a successful parent teacher conference. Take a look!
