FJH Bookmark Winners
The 2017-2018 Fairview JH Bookmark Winners have been chosen! Not all students chose to write their name on the bookmarks. Congratulations to Joy Rocha, Judith Perez, Lacey Marsh-Byars , Tanner Merrick, Elbryon, Michael Robin, Saria Rodriguez, Rubi Hernandez, Raven Smith, and Emma Molder.
NascAR Reading Challenge
We are in month two of the NascAR Reading Challenge. The current standings are: 8th grade is in 1st place with 1,175.3 points; teachers are in 2nd place with 1030.3 points; 6th graders are in 3rd place with 952.3 points, and 7th grade is in 4th place 645.4 points.
Keep reading and taking those Accelerated Reader tests!!
Lone Star Reading Challenge
To get students excited about the Guerrilla Games Competition in February, we have begun the Lone Star Reading Challenge. Once you pass 5 AR tests your name is added to the state of Texas; 10 AR tests gets you the Lone Star sticker, 15 AR tests is a free Sonic drink of your choice, and 20 AR test is a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card.
Come by the library to pick your Lone Star bookmark to keep track of what you have read.
October Stats
In the month of October we saw over 1,000 students in the library and checked out 1,900 books. Ten classes visited the library, 11 co-teach lessons were taught, and we held our Fall Book Fair.
