Morning Drop off
Don't forget that you can drop-off your child on Civic Drive after 7:30 am. Mr. Holt is stationed at this location and will assist your child out of the car and into the building.
Homecoming Week 2015
- Monday, September 21 - "Put the Goats to sleep" - wear pajamas to school. Please note that pajamas must be within the student dress code, and that tennis shoes must be sent to school for PE and recess.
- Tuesday, September 22 - "Sock it to the Goats" - wear crazy socks.
- Wednesday, September 23 - "Light up the Goats" - wear bright/neon colors.
- Thursday, September 24 - "Hairs to beating the Goats" - crazy/wacky hair day.
- Friday, September 25 - Viking Spirit Day - wear Viking Spirit gear and/or blue and gold colors. There will also be a door decorating contest for classes that will be judged on Friday by our district administrators.
Since mums can cause a distraction to learning, LVES students may not wear mums to school on Friday, September 25th.
There is a Communtity Pep Rally on Wednesday, September 23 starting at 6:00 pm in the high school parking lot. Come on out to cheer on our Vikings and show our Viking Spirit!

Marvelous Mathmaticians
We have lots of hidden Marvelous Mathematicians at LVES and we are searching for them. How can you be found? Look for MM (Marvelous Mathematician) problems on Fridays with the electronic newsletter. Print them out, cut and paste your grade level problem on a clean piece of paper. Work the problem (making sure to show those great strategies) and label it with your name and teacher, then place it in the grade level folder outside of Mrs. Phariss’ door (Room 303) by Thursday. Mrs. Phariss will search through and find a Marvelous Mathematician to recognize each week. We look forward to discovering our hidden Math STARS!

Weekly Attendance Rate
- 96%
Remember our weekly goal is 97%, so please make sure that your child is at school everyday from 7:45-2:45.
If our attendance average at the end of the 1st nine weeks is 97% or higher, Mr. Holt is going to shave his head!
