Principal's Message

Longhorn Team we are already at the end of April! As we move into the month of May we will all be very busy. This week we will complete the Campus Climate Survey. As each of you completes the climate survey reflect on each of the questions and answer them with honesty and integrity. Remember the level of gain we have made in developing our campus culture and that our campus climate is currently at the “Exemplary” level.

We have already begun the planning process for next school year. As we move into the planning process it is critical that we reflect on the gains and successes we have made with our students and where we need to make adjustments for the future. It is all of us working and planning collectively that will continue to make the greatest difference for our students.

This week during the Principal’s Professional Development we will review our school goals for the 2014-2015 Campus Action Plan. So please bring your action plans to the meeting. Additionally, this week during your PLC meetings your team will submit a completed needs assessment for developing our 2015-2016 Campus Action Plan (CAP). We will complete the CAP for next year before we dismiss for the summer so everyone will be clear on our goals and indicators of success as you prepare for next year.

Again, remember the expectation is for everyone (even the portables) to be outside your doors during each class change to monitor students during this time. Keep giving your best for our students and providing them with high quality instruction until the year is over.

Make it a GREAT week!

Dr. Wright
