Causes of the American Revolution Summary
The American Revolution was about 13 colonist who overthrew authority of the British Crown and founded the United States of America. The social causes of the American Revolution was that the Colonists were very upset with British and wanted them to not be there owner. Some of the British economic policys was that Britan had started to put taxes on sugar and other goods. I think the colonies were vey justified in declaring indapendence from England they hated them so much.
Nnavigation Acts
The Navigation Acts were about how the British putting theory onto mercantilsym to acual practice by not allowing the colonist to get columbian goods they were only able to buy and recieve goods from England.
The Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 was about how after the French and Indian war England one the war so what the Proclamation did was set a geograpyhiccal border bettwen the colonist couldnt go west of the Apllachan Mountains.
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was about how Britain put Tax on sugar witch had angered the colonists. After the Stamp act the colonists started to try and start smuggling goods to Columbia and back. The colonists felt like the King was being cruel to them.
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was about how the colonists had to keep there home open to the British soldiers and feed them and To let them be able to come into there house without even asking. And also having the Writs of Assistance wich allowed the British Soldiers to come into the colonists house for suspect of breaking the law or most of the time smuggling goods.
Townshed Acts
The Townshed Acts were about how the King was in debt of the war and had put Taxes on tea witch made the colonist furious to respond back buy not buying the tea and other goods that were also taxed. At the time the Sons of liberty was Created by Samuel Adams wich were a group of violent protsters who had killed the Tax collectors.
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was about how the colonists gathered around in a group and started to throw rocks and snowballs at the British soldiers. A British soldier shot at a innocent colonist by the name of Crispus Attucks which had triggered a spark against Britain the colonists were then angry.
Tea Act and Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea act was about how the Sons of Liberty overthrew 2 British ships and threw tea overboard in the Boston Harbor. The Boston tea party had then awoken the British King towards a revolution for American Indapendence.
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable acts were about how the king of Britain had put laws on stopped trade, no town meetings, and that had helped the Quartering act by alot. the other coloneis responded by stopping the acts by refusing to listen to the new laws.
