Disguise a Turkey
Otters, please decorate a turkey to disguise it from becoming part of the Thanksgiving dinner table! Use any materials (paints, markers, crayons, fabric, etc) that you have around your home and create a turkey disguise.
Some ideas are a different kind of bird, animal, or even a human! Perhaps your turkey will become a sports figure, musician or a famous person. The most important part is that the turkey must be disguised!
Please return to your teacher, (either in-person or put in your packet return bin) to your teacher by TOMORROW, 11/20!

STEM
Dear Parents,
Gig Harbor usually celebrates the return of the salmon this time of year, but due to Covid-19, the Chum Festival has been cancelled. Luckily, the salmon have no idea that the festival has been cancelled, so if you take some time to visit Donkey Creek over the next few weeks, you have a pretty good chance of spotting them. Harbor WildWatch has a digital field trip available - please see their website for further information.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Attendance
In the Peninsula School District we believe that students who are on time and attend school regularly will build a solid foundation for academic and social success. To ensure that your child gets the most out of his/her education, it is imperative that your child is at school or remote on time and ready to learn. We know this is a challenging time with our remote learners, however our teachers are still taking attendance daily. Attending live learning sessions is ideal, but there are other ways students can demonstrate attendance.
Students can demonstrate attendance through any of the following:
Attending a live Zoom session
Submitting any of the assigned work for the day
Providing evidence of work on an assigned task on the day it was assigned
Interacting with the teacher through email or by phone
Logging into the Schoology course
Attendance for the previous three (3) days may be adjusted by teachers in PowerSchool to record accurate attendance for students who participated during the evening.
