I will still take pop tabs until the end of the year. We will be weighing the amount we have so far and announcing over WGLN. Collected pop tabs will be delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC.
A big thanks to Anna for helping cover Career Readiness Skills!

School Wide Focus - Making Mistakes and Transitions
All K - 4 students will have a lesson on mistakes. I will teach a 15 minute lesson then students will participate in an art activity with Anna. This will allow me the opportunity to leave and pull individual students.
All 5th and 6th grade students will participate in transition lessons. Students will go through stations to help them work through the moving up process. Anna and I will facilitate stations with these groups. I will be taking 5th and 6th grade students to East and West this month and in May.
The past three weeks have been spent in parent meetings, crisis counseling , DSS, 504's and RTI meetings during the school day. I have 17 new referrals! This doesn't count students I already have on my caseload. If I am sitting in meetings during the day , I can't work with students . Please be mindful of that when you make parent meetings that you want me to be a part of. I would prefer after school meetings so. I have the time to work with kids during the day. I understand that emergencies will come up. My goal is to catch up on the number of referrals that have been made.
I will meet and do initial intake with the new referrals week of April 7th. I will be off campus Monday from 11:30 on setting up for County Wide Career Fair and all day Tuesday for the actual Career Fair. It looks like I will be pulling these new referrals Wednesday and Thursday in between already scheduled events. I will be involved with Kindergarten registration on Friday. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
